Engineers must be proficient, professionally astute, and clearly aware of their responsibility to society. Student Professional Awareness Conference (S-PAC, pronounced "ess-pak") explores the subjects that affect engineers' careers, regardless of how well engineers prepare themselves technically.
This year, the Virginia Tech IEEE is hosting this event on Saturday, March 30th from 2 to 8 PM at the Owens Banquet Hall. The topics to be discussed include entrepreneurship, company management and operation, patents and intellectual property, and the importance of graduate school. There will be $600 in raffle prizes and a three-course meal will be served.
Hello everyone,
I wanted to take the time to thank all those who have signed up for the IEEE S-PAC event. We have reached our maximum limit of participants for this event, thus the survey is now closed. All the registered attendees will receive an email containing the schedule of the event and further instructions.
Once again, thank you for making this event such a success.
Sincerely,
Arash Majdi

What is S-PAC? The Student Professional Awareness Conference (S-PAC) is an event put on by the Virginia Tech chapter of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) every year. The purpose of the event is to help engineering students ease the transition between the academic and professional world, as well as to give company representatives an opportunity to meet many of our students. Why should your company attend? S-PAC provides companies with an opportunity to meet Electrical Engineers, Computer Engineers, and Computer Science Majors at Virginia Tech. Many of these students have specialized skills such as embedded programming, software design, analog design, communications, robotics, and signal processing. Companies will have the chance to network and recruit students. In addition, the issues brought up at the conference by the IEEE and Virginia Tech speakers are just as beneficial to current professionals as they are to students. When is S-PAC? S-PAC at Virginia Tech is TBD. More Information? Contact the appropriate S-PAC officer Corporate Registration: Make an S-PAC Reservation Now!
