What is S-PAC? The Student Professional Awareness Conference (S-PAC) is an event put on by the Virginia Tech chapter of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) every year. The purpose of the event is to help engineering students ease the transition between the academic and professional world, as well as to give company representatives an opportunity to meet many of our students. S-PAC 2009 will include speakers from IEEE and Virginia Tech. Why should your company attend? S-PAC provides companies with an opportunity to meet Electrical Engineers, Computer Engineers, and Computer Science Majors at Virginia Tech. Many of these students have specialized skills such as embedded programming, software design, analog design, communications, robotics, and signal processing. Companies will have the chance to network and recruit students. In addition, the issues brought up at the conference by the IEEE and Virginia Tech speakers are just as beneficial to current professionals as they are to students. When is S-PAC? S-PAC at Virginia Tech will be held on the 6th of February 2009. It will be a half day event starting at 1:00pm with a lecture series and run until five. More Information?
