About WIE

This is a committee focused on the recruitment and retention of women in Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as Computer Science. Amy Malady serves as Chair, Whitney Bopp as Vice-Chair, Phillip Kobezek is Outreach Chair, Alexa Jones is Social Chair. Dr. Bell is our facutly advisor.

The semester, we are focused on starting our Big/Little Sister Mentoring program. We have 12 confirmed mentors and are seeing a great freshmen turnout. For more information please visit our Mentoring page (in the WIE dropdown menu).

We plan to continue to sponsor a department Study Break and host another Get Dirty event. Our Get Dirty event for this semester will be taking apart a car on the drillfield. Come out for free drinks and t-shirts. More information to come.

We are a co-ed committee and encourage men and women to come out for our events.

NEW: We will have our first meeting of the semester on Sunday Feb. 3 at 5 in Rand 110.
