The IEEE picnic has been moved back to Sunday (4/27) from noon until 4pm. It will be outside between Whittemore and Randolph. There will be plenty of hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, chips and soda. All ECE faculty, students and family are welcome! There will be volleyball and a lot of other fun activities.

The first-ever ECE Pie-a-Professor will be Friday March 28th at 3:30pm in Hancock Atrium.
There will be 11 ECE faculty who each will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Then the student will pie the professor in the face!
All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society through Relay For Life.
The IEEE will be holding elections at 5:30pm on Wednesday, March 26th in Randolph 211. Any IEEE member can run for an office and vote. To become a member go to: www.ieee.org/join (Click on "Join IEEE as a Student Member" its $30)

The Virginia Tech student branch of IEEE will be holding officer elections for next year on Wednesday, March 26th at 5:30pm in Randolph 211.
I would like to invite you to our Officer Meet and Greet Wednesday, March 19th at 5:30pm in Randolph 211. Attendees will learn about the different officer positions and enjoy free food.
Becoming an officer is a great way to get involved with the department and college. You get to meet a lot of fellow students and company representatives. It helps you develop leadership skills and it looks great on your resume (your GPA is not all employers look at!). It also gives you valuable experiences that you can talk about during job interviews
